Privacy Notice

This notice describes how A Public Relations Company d/b/a Her Shoreline handles your personal information. A Public Relations Company d/b/a Her Shoreline is the data controller for the information you give us through the app.

A plain-language version. The shorter we can make this, the better.

What we collect

The minimum we need to make Her Shoreline work for you:

• Your email address and a display name (so you can sign in).
• What you write in the app — journal entries, intentions, rituals, goals, gratitudes, vision images, and reflection-coach conversations.
• Basic account metadata — when you signed up, when you last visited.
• Billing information for paid plans (handled by Paddle, not stored by us).

How we use it

To run the app you signed up for: to show your entries back to you, to let the reflection coach respond with context, to bill correctly, and to email you when something needs your attention. That's it.

Who else sees it

Trusted services that help us run the app:

• Supabase — secure cloud database and authentication.
• Paddle — payments and billing (merchant of record).
• Google (Gemini) — the AI model behind the reflection coach. Your messages go to Google to generate a response. Per Google's API terms, your inputs are not used to train their models.

We never sell your data. We don't share it with advertisers. We don't train external AI models on your journal.

How long we keep it

For as long as you have an account. If you delete your account, we delete your content within 30 days, except where we're legally required to keep billing records.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, correct anything that's wrong, or have your account and content deleted. Email hello@hershoreline.com and we'll handle it within 30 days.

If you're in the EU/UK, you also have rights under GDPR including the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Cookies

We use the minimum necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to make payments work. No tracking cookies, no advertising pixels.

Security

Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Database access is restricted by row-level security so that only you can read your own entries.

Changes

If we update this notice in a meaningful way, we'll tell you in the app or by email.
